We specialize in knitting, spinning, and weaving. Established in May 1988 and family owned by mother and daughter, Betty and Liz Drusedum, the Lamb's Wool is 1700 square feet of yarn and fun. We are a unique shop in that we carry much of our yarn on cones. We also carry many name brand yarns such as Brown Sheep, Ironstone, Plymouth, Skacel, Patons, Mountain Colors, Sweet Grass, Harrisville, and JaggerSpun. We offer classes and workshops in knitting, spinning, weaving, dyeing, crocheting, and felting for all ages and levels of experience. We also do mending and finishing. OUR HISTORY In the spring of 1988, the opportunity
presented itself for
Liz and Betty to open a yarn shop. Betty had been knitting since her
college
days and Liz since her Grandmother taught her at a very early age.
Betty
had been working for a sweater company that sold their extra yarns on
cones
which makes the yarn less expensive. With that concept of yarn on cones
and our experience, The Lamb's Wool was opened. Today, we have grown
from a shop with just Liz and Betty to a shop with three part time
employees that bring with them a knowledge of and love for hand crafts.
Through
the years, we have grown not only in
knitting but also in mending, weaving, spinning, crocheting and yarn
knowledge. We believe the best part of having a store is getting to know all the wonderful customers, students, and friends we have made over the years. We try very hard to make sure the information on our web site is as accurate as possible, but no one is perfect so we must say: Prices are subject to change without notice. We try to keep our books listings current, but books do go out of print without our knowledge. Lastly, we have links to our manufactures for your convenience, but we can't carry every line of yarn that the manufactures offer.
